About quarter of the world's agricultural area is used annually to produce food that is later wasted. In the EU, households are the sector contributing most to food waste. In fact, each of us produces more than 90 kg of food waste per year at home.
What if we turn our food waste into a valuable resource? What if we establish a new relationship to food waste and see its potential instead of declaring it as disgusting?
We envisioned a machine for home-use that converts food waste (free of meat products) into a non smelly, keepable powder which can later be used for various applications, for example as alternative currency between individuals and farmers, as building material for small or-or medium-sized objects, as toilet paper, animal food or for nutritional and protective usage in agriculture or for your flowers at home.
Let's rethink our use of resources and give all waste a second chance.
